FAQs and Things you need to know

To maintain safety at all times and ensure everyone can fully enjoy the exhibit floor the Aquatarium kindly ask that handcarts, trolleys, or  strollers are not used during Mermaid week. Don’t worry,  we offer on-site, complimentary stroller parking upon check-in.

For our visitor’s convenience we are encouraging the use of our coat check. This is available for a small fee of $2 per family.

There are multiple parking options:

  1. Indoor parking is provided at Tall Ships Landing, accessible via Flint Street.
  2. Flint Street Parking Lot
  3. Market Street
  4. Parking Lot
  5. Blockhouse Island Parking Lot

Complimentary parking is offered on Kincaid Street, located south of Water Street. This is a brief stroll from the Aquatarium.

For Mermaid Week 2024, March 9-17, The Aquatarium is open from 10am until 5pm. This has been a sell out event and we encourage our visitors to arrive 10 minutes before their ticket time.

Due to the nature of this event changing your time and date may prove to be difficult and we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate any changes.  If you cannot make your time or the day you booked please call us a minimum of 24 hours before your booked time and date and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Please note that tickets are non-refundable. Date/time changes are allowed, however, subject to availability.

Mermaid Week is an exclusive event, and we regret that Aquatarium Coupons are not permitted during this time.

The Mermaids Experience is a very busy time and we do expect to sell out well before opening day.  It is strongly recommended that if you do intend to join us this year you do not wait and purchase your ticket online on the day and time you’d like to arrive before they are gone.

Our ticket shows a 90 minute time slot, can we stay longer? Of course, please stay and enjoy this MERMAZING event!
